Adults

Purpose

There are many ways for adults to know God in relationship, grow together in relationship, and share Christ’s love with others beyond the Sunday morning worship service. Through participating in these adult ministries, we can better lead people in a fully devoted, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

What We Do

Adult Sunday Discussions

Our Adult Sunday Discussions meets from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us on any-or every-Sunday morning. Grab a cup of coffee and treats from the kitchen and enjoy a time of learning from God’s word and fellowship!

Sunday Discussion: Galatians: Freedom in Christ.

Paul’ central theme for the epistle: Salvation is by God’s grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Today the Gospel message is under attack and the world is pushing a “different gospel.” Many Christians think this is a new attack, but Paul faced the same struggle in the early churches in the region of Galatia. The letter to these churches has a greater sense of urgency to it. Most of Paul’s letters started with a blessing for the recipients. But Paul knows he must address this false gospel head on, and so he begins his letter with a stern warning. But Paul brings the message full circle back to the Good News of the Gospel, and encourages us that we have freedom in the saving power of Jesus Christ!

Please join us in the fellowship hall for this study that will continue until August 10th.

Bible Recap will meet Sundays from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the lower-level room 22. This class will meet weekly to read scripture, have a discussion and encourage each other. There will be a daily reading using a chronological reading plan. As well as a podcast you could listen to from The Bible Recap resource. For more group options for this reading plan, please see Home Bible Studies below.

Baptism

Opportunities for Baptism at Faith Evangelical Free Church.

In the New Testament, our Lord Jesus commanded His followers to be baptized as an outward expression of devotion and surrendered obedience to Him (Matthew 28:18-20).  In the immersion of baptism, we identify with Christ’s death and burial as payment for our sins, and with His resurrection to eternal life as we come out of those waters!

-The next opportunity for baptism is on September 13, 2025, held at Faith Evangelical Free Church.

If you are interested in baptism for yourself or your child, please contact Pastor Brian immediately for more information.

Home Bible Studies

Similar to the early church, small groups of ten to twelve people meet in homes to be nourished with God’s Word and to encourage each other through prayer and support. Growing together spiritually is often done most powerfully in the context of the home. These groups of friends meet regularly, often over a meal, for prayer, encouragement, friendship and to learn more about God’s Word in Scripture. You are encouraged to join a Home Bible Study to better know God in relationship and to grow together in relationship. For details, please contact the ministry office at 608-269-5469.
