Here are some frequently asked questions about our Blessed to Be a Blessing Capital Campaign:

1. What is the cost of the project?  The estimated cost of the project is $1,700,000.  The Blessed to Be a Blessing campaign goal is to raise $1,000,000 and then take out a loan to cover the remaining cost.

2. When will I be asked to make a commitment?  The all-church ask is scheduled for April 23, 2023.  This is when the congregation will be asked to make a commitment to the project.  The commitment will be for 3 years ending in May of 2026.

3. While we have a 3-year commitment would it be wise to give more right away?  Yes, the sooner we have the needed amount on hand, the sooner we can break ground on the building expansion.

4.When the pledge card is returned, who will have access to viewing them? The pledge card will only be opened and recorded by the financial administrator.  The pledge cards will be stored in the church safe for the length of the campaign (three years).  Donations received to fulfil a commitment will be handled with the same confidentially as regular giving.

5.How will lump sum donations be handled?  Will they be added to an interest-bearing account? Lump sum donations will be put into interest bearing accounts with Christian Investors Financial (CIF). We are using CIF investments for this service for two reasons. 1. They offer higher interest on short term CDs and money market accounts than the bank 2. The money we invest with CIF helps support other churches and ministries with their projects. CIF calls it a double blessing; our money grows while we help grow God’s Kingdom.

6.Why is it important that we get the commitment cards back?  Because we need to know for planning purposes when the money is going to be available to break ground on the building project.”
