Purpose
There are many ways for adults to know God in relationship, grow together in relationship, and share Christ’s love with others beyond the Sunday morning worship service. Through participating in these adult ministries, we can better lead people in a fully devoted, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
What We Do
Adult Sunday Discussions
Our Adult Sunday Discussions meets from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us on any-or every-Sunday morning. Grab a cup of coffee and treats from the kitchen and enjoy a time of learning from God’s word and fellowship!
Bible Recap will meet Sundays from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in the lower-level room 1. This class will meet weekly to read scripture, have a discussion and encourage each other. There will be a daily reading using a chronological reading plan. As well as a podcast you could listen to from The Bible Recap resource. For more group options for this reading plan, please see Home Bible Studies below.
Discovering Faith Discussion Series. Pastor Brian will hold his annual six-week interactive group called “Discovering Faith,” in the fall. Discovering Faith involves investigating the profound essentials of our Christian faith, along with the essentials of Faith Evangelical Free Church. If you are new to faith in Christ, OR new to Faith EFC, this group is for you!
Membership Workshop. Stay tuned for the next available worship or email Pastor Brian directly here.
Grief Share
This is a 13-week support group for adults who have had a loved one pass away. By means of a video series and sharing time, people learn that grieving is a journey that is normal, natural and necessary.
Starting Tuesday, September 9/3/24 and will go until 11/26/24. Will meet in the fellowship hall at 6:30p.m.
$20 suggested donation.
Baptism
Opportunities for Baptism at Faith Evangelical Free Church.
In the New Testament, our Lord Jesus commanded His followers to be baptized as an outward expression of devotion and surrendered obedience to Him (Matthew 28:18-20). In the immersion of baptism, we identify with Christ’s death and burial as payment for our sins, and with His resurrection to eternal life as we come out of those waters! We will update here, when we offer the next opportunity to follow the Lord in public baptism…
If you are interested in baptism for yourself or your child, please contact Pastor Brian immediately for more information.
Home Bible Studies
Similar to the early church, small groups of ten to twelve people meet in homes to be nourished with God’s Word and to encourage each other through prayer and support. Growing together spiritually is often done most powerfully in the context of the home. These groups of friends meet regularly, often over a meal, for prayer, encouragement, friendship and to learn more about God’s Word in Scripture. You are encouraged to join a Home Bible Study to better know God in relationship and to grow together in relationship. For details, please contact the ministry office at 608-269-5469.
Reading Thru the Bible New Testament 2024: We will be offering multiple groups reading through the Bible using The Bible Recap reading plan. Studies will meet to read scripture, have a discussion and encourage each other. We will continue to meet until the end of the year. Click here to check out an intro to The Bible Recap.
Oct. 1st we will be reading through the New Testament. Please feel free to join us as we learn more about God’s word.
Cost is $0 to listen to The Bible Recap podcast or to watch the daily Bible Recap YouTube episode. If you prefer a hard copy of the podcast/YouTube material it ranges from $15-20. Some books are available for you to view prior to purchasing.
If you are interested in the study group, please contact the ministry office at 608-269-5469 for more information.
