Adults

Purpose

There are many ways for adults to know God in relationship, grow together in relationship, and share Christ’s love with others beyond the Sunday morning worship service. Through participating in these adult ministries, we can better lead people in a fully devoted, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

What We Do

Adult Sunday Discussions

Our Adult Sunday Discussions meets from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us on any-or every-Sunday morning. Grab a cup of coffee and treats from the kitchen and enjoy a time of learning from God’s word and fellowship!

Sunday Discussion:

September 13 Pastor Brian will be leading Discovering Faith. Larry will be leading through the rest of Jude.

Discovering Faith Discussion Series

Discovering Faith.  Often, regardless of our spiritual maturity, it is a blessing and boost to our spiritual journey to revisit the essentials.  Starting Sunday, September 13, join us for six consecutive Sunday mornings in the church lower level, middle room near the library (9:30AM to 10:15AM) for this interactive investigation in the essentials of the Christian life.  Additionally, we will be Discovering Faith Evangelical Free Church– the foundations of our history, beliefs, and practical blessings as we invest in our faith community.  PLEASE SIGN UP TO JOIN US FOR DISCOVERING FAITH!

Membership Workshop

Membership Workshop: Join us in the Hospitality Hub Saturday, October 24 from 9-11a.m.

This is a small interactive workshop led by Pastor Brian and Pastor Grant for those interested in membership at Faith EFC. Coffee and donuts will be provided. Sign-up online.

Grief Share

This is a 13-week support group for those who have had a loved one pass away. Stay tuned for when the next support group will start.

Baptism

Opportunity for Public Baptism!

In Scripture, public baptism in Jesus Christ is an outward celebration and pledge of an inward reality– surrendered faith in Jesus as both Savior and Lord.  If you have never experienced baptism, or if it was at an age or circumstance where you want to invest now with better understanding, please plan on the following…

  • Pick up our tri-fold brochure at our church welcome wall on baptisms and child dedications.  This will begin to inform you about our Scriptural approach to baptism for you and/or your child.
  • Mark your calendar for two baptism worship services– Saturday, September 19 at 3PM, as part of our annual Faith Family Picnic celebration, and Sunday, September 27 immediately following our 2nd worship hour that day.

If you are interested in baptism for yourself or your child, please contact Pastor Brian immediately for more information.

Home Bible Studies

Similar to the early church, small groups of ten to twelve people meet in homes to be nourished with God’s Word and to encourage each other through prayer and support. Growing together spiritually is often done most powerfully in the context of the home. These groups of friends meet regularly, often over a meal, for prayer, encouragement, friendship and to learn more about God’s Word in Scripture. You are encouraged to join a Home Bible Study to better know God in relationship and to grow together in relationship. For details, please contact the ministry office at 608-269-5469.
