Brian Young
Senior Pastor
Pastor Brian Young and his wife Lisa started their life of ministry in 1989 with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) working with college students, and then on the mission field in Russia. After earning his Master of Divinity Degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Brian served as an Associate Pastor of Evangelism and Spiritual Development at Cary-Grove Evangelical Free Church in Chicago. From 2001 to 2016, Brian was the pastor of Whispering Pines Evangelical Free Church in Colorado. Now, since the summer of 2016, Brian has been pleased to serve as Senior Pastor here at Faith Evangelical Free Church. Brian is motivated to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ transform all of our lives as a church community and then out to others in the surrounding area—all through relationships that are intentional, transparent, and authentic. Pastor Brian and Lisa have three children and three grandchildren.
Grant Swanstrom
Youth Pastor
Grant and Waverly grew up together in Appleton, Wisconsin. They met at a small Christian school in second grade, started dating in high school, and got married in June of 2022. Grant has five siblings, two of whom were adopted from Haiti in 2019. Grant obtained his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in May 2025. Grant is excited to equip students to share their faith and serve others. Waverly is a high school math teacher. Together, Grant and Waverly enjoy hiking, camping, downhill skiing, and wake surfing.
Shelley Schumann
Ministry Office Manager
Shelley joined the staff in January of 2013. Shelley has been a member of Faith EFC since 1991. Over the years, Shelley has been involved in a variety of ministries at Faith especially with children ministry and music. She has been married to Kerry since 1987. They have two children, Ethan and Cassie.
Kristina Johnson
Media Coordinator
Kristina lives in the Cashton area with her husband Drew Johnson and their four children. Kristina is also a leader of the Mission Ministry Team here at Faith. Kristina maintains and updates the church’s Social Media Platforms and Website.
